Strategies for Implementing iPod Touches Successfully

Good discussion of using the iPod and the iPad in elementary, middle school and high schools as well as by administrators. Also talked about Google Apps a lot and how the two can work together, especially for the admins.

Lot of good research on how the use of mobile devices is improving student achievement.

Librarians are managing carts and touches with bar codes and check out system. So far apps can be distributed across multiple iPods, but that may change or be different with different vendors. No site licensing for apps yet.

One panelist's high school district started by giving the iPods to teachers and then had a debriefing session on what you can do with them. Turned out to be an effective way to get them in the hands of kids.

Lots of good resources at their site: http://Tinyurl.com/touchdowniste
